BEAUTIFUL PLACE FOR STRESS RELIEF

Our room had a beautiful view and also turned out to be a fabulous spot for bird watching! The service was impeccable, very thoughtful: They adjusted all the dishes to add/change ingredients we didn't like. And much more. The staff is always around but never intrusive. I was getting more accustomed to the pace and mindfulness lifestyle. It's not for those interested in partying hard. The rooms and all the amenities are extremely clean and comfortable. There is always fresh towels in the room and you can order delicious honey-ginger-lemon tea to be brought to the room. Overall a nice pool, excellent service and most importantly quiet :)

I stayed in a incredible cottage room that overlooked the sea.I was amazed at the hospitality and warmth I received. This tranquil set up provided the comfort and peaceful environment I needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of stone town. I must admit I am very particular and fussy when it comes to the rooms and bathrooms but I was fairly impressed. The breakfast was lovely as well and I would definitely recommend this place to someone who is looking for comfort and peace of mind knowing u getting the best!!!

The location is very far from all amenities. You end up spending a lot of money on transportation The resort is poorly maintained.

The beach is awesome, the pool was great and the peace and...

The beach is awesome, the pool was great and the peace and tranquility was very nice. The security of the hotel is very good with guards patrolling at night. The view for the moon rise is good if you catch it and the afternoon breeze from the ocean is calming.

The water pressure in the shower was low. There was frequent power outages and no drinking water or tea/coffee provided in the rooms. The floor in the room was also not very well cleaned. There is no play ground or facilities for kids entertainment. Some of the outdoor facilities need facelift like painting of walkway, sculptures and swimming pool shower and tap were not working. There was no music at the restaurant as indicated in the booking site.

Great bargain spot!

Staff were super friendly & helpful, lovely and quiet, they provided a great breakfast, even accommodating my allergies to gluten & dairy, lovely pool to use.

Location was plotted on Google maps incorrectly which caused an issue to get there.

Resort description is FALSE! Many guests refused to stay (thus being unable to post comments)

The only two decent things: the AC did the job & large rooms. BEWARE! Resort's self-description is fake (including heavily enhanced photos)!

Reconfirmation of arrival required and still it took them 9 (NINE!) hours to check us in (tried 4 different rooms: one without front door key, one with a broken window, one without lights and also no toilet seat, the last had no sea view and no TV signal but we were already too tired). So, we ended up in a room with a "garden view" but paid for the room with "sea view" which was more expensive. No refund, obviously. No chairs in the room. Old and worn out furniture. Hard mattresses wrapped in plastic foil (introducing a strange 'sleeping on the table' feeling). No hem bed sheets. Toilet and faucets coated with limescale. Two towels for three persons in a week, we left the first one on the floor and it remained there for the entire period. One of the towels had cigarette burns and stains. No cleaning service, if you don't leave the key at the reception desk (staff losing room keys - including spare ones - is very much on the map here). Poor breakfast ("sorry, only eggs today" phrase heard 5 times out of 7), very poor and wildly expensive a la carte service. No chairs in the gazebo by the sea (in fact it was used as a broken furniture depot). No mattresses on the sun beds. Not nearly enough sun beds. No working umbrella by the pool or anywhere else. No music, except for a radio in local language (swahili) that eventually had some entertainment programs from time to time. One day they removed without notice the AC remote control from our room and gave it to other guests; AC remote control replaced by request after an hour and several attempts to find another suitable AC remote control to match. Slack staff (if you have a problem, then the problem is definitely yours). We asked the hotel manager every single day to have the TV signal fixed in our room; every time he promised to take care of it (he even wrote it down in his notebook twice actually!) and every time he failed to act (or maybe just forgot, hakuna matata!).

A fine place for a one night stop over

I'm on a cycling tour around the island so location wise Coconut Tree was great between Nungwi and Paje. The bedroom and bathroom were terrific for the location and price point. Good, strong AC too which is a blessing among blessings.

Of the five things I tried to order throughout the dinner menu two were missing. I've come to realize missing items can be commonplace in this part of the country but at an actual resort I expect the food to be present.

Very Good

The rooms were clean and big, stuff was awesome, and Lillian was very wonderful she would go out of her way to take us around to places and to help with communication barriers. Pleasant stay all in all.

The location was too far from most activities, and the beach is not good at all too mud and full of sharp stones. Other than that it's an awesome place to stay.
